Numbness in ear and neck

My right ear and right side of my neck are numb. Not completely but like a shot of novacaine. I have had a cold recently but I have never has this happen! What could this be from?

I. Having this problem on my left side. Had an MRI that showed I have several bulgind disks and neural foraminal stenosis (which can cause a pinched nerve). Mine has been going on 2 months straight. Haven't seen the Dr yet about my results so not sure what they're gonna have to do.
