Just a question about name of diagnosis

I went to an ENT a few weeks ago and was diagnosed with irritable larynx syndrome. It's in the notes he wrote as ILS. He put in my chart of diagnoses as disease of larynx, not ILS. Are they considered the same thing (like ILS is just disease of larynx and I'm over thinking it) or did I miss something? I know it's probably a dumb question, I just want to make sure I didn't miss something. Thanks. :^)
