Foul Taste/Smell and Throat Discomfort

For a few weeks now I have noticed that when I swallow (only when I swallow or chew) I taste/smell this foul smell.  I have checked my mouth for any cavaties or anything that may be coming from my teeth and gums.  I have found nothing and noticed that everytime I sense this smell/taste, it comes from my throat.  I have checked my throat with a mirror and only notice that my tonsils and the back of my throat are a little red.  I have no pus or anything out of the ordinary.  For the past two days I have felt as if I have something in my throat...a sort of heavy mucus that doesn't seem to go away.
What could this be? Please help!

I have also been to a ENTspecialist and they seen nothing out of the norm.I decided to check my throat really good with a small instrument, which I steralize when I use, anyway I have found pockets hidden so far back in my throat and under a lyer of tissue. The only reason I found it is because I dig with this insrument.Hope this helps.

i can feel something stuck when I swallow.  When i was straining lifting weights, a crescent -shaped piece of food came up.  I often have sneezed it up to.  The smell is so bad people move away from me.  Ent doctor visits are a waste of time it seems as they dont see my problem as urgent.  The only way you can get rid of it is "dry it out," by not drinking so that the throat gets parched, and the particle gets brittle and it can be coughed out.

I have had this really foul smell coming from my throat for almost three months now.  I have seen an ENT who  told me I have a chronic sinus for which he prescribed a lot of meds including antibiotics but the smell is still there.  I have done all the home remedies and nothing seem to help.  IF any one have had this problem and have been fixed please help.

You may have tonsilliths. From what i understand they are trapped food particles in your tonsills, and they smell.....they are white or cream colored chunks that will start to come out one of these days. I have them and have had forever. Some days are worse than others. Doctors seem to think they are no big deal. I rinse with Listerine all the time to try to get rid of them ...they are disgusting!
