6 Month prolonged Tonsilitis + Now 3 weeks conjunctivitis

Hi,
I am a 25yr old active male who got acute viral tonsilitis for the first time back in April this year. Never had any symptoms of tonsilitis ever before this.

It was severe to the point of admission to hospital 3 times due to choking on saliva and blocked airways.

It is now September and I have still got significant sized swelling of the right side of the tonsil and minor swelling on the left side that has never completely left since the initial start. The back of throat is always mildly inflamed and the throat goes very dry without water frequently.

Between April and now there has been 3x Full Blood Count, Swab tests and STD tests all with nothing conclusive.

I have seen multiple doctors who have all requested them the tonsils be removed which I am trying to avoid in hope it just goes away. I also read that more and more evidence is suggesting that tonsils shouldn't be removed so therefore I kind of want to avoid the surgery.

To add to this, in the past 3 weeks I have woken up every morning with very mild conjunctivitis like symptoms ie.slightly sticky, leaking eyes that are quite inflamed (inflamed almost all day). Conjunctivitis is another thing I have never had previous to now.

Other symptoms include:
- Prehypertension (unusual for someone who eats well and exercises 2-3times per week.
- Prolonged cough (expecting to just be tonsil leaking to the back of throat?)
- Lower libido and what appears to be some minor erectile disfunction with weak erections (something again that had never occurred before)
- Some minor ear infections.

The only other notes I have is:
- This started after I started sleeping with a new partner who I recently found out has had prolonged minor tonsilitis prior to our first encounter. I haven't slept with her for about 2 months now.
- My male housemate now also has prolonged tonsilitis for about 3 months but only on a minor scale.
- Neither of those two have seen doctors due to not seeing any significant issue and expecting it to just go away.
- Have been using mometasone furoate nasal spray and Loratadine tablet for about 2 months now hoping it was allergy/sinus/hayfever causing it

Has anyone ever dealt with anything similar, or have any ideas or even suggestions on where to trace the cause of it?
