Hi,
Nasal polyps can indeed grow into the nasopharyngeal region (behind the nose), if they are big enough. I would advice to get the surgery done or else she might develop complications secondary to the blockage of the nose.

Hi, Thanks for the response. My daughter is 22 and this has been going on for some time now. She does have polyps in her sinus cavities in her cheeks that are the size of plums the doctor said a couple yrs. back, he recommended a ENT and she never went. Is it possible that these could have grown in her throat also?
Hi,
How old is your daughter? If she is less than 12 years, then this could be either an infected antro-choanal polyp or an enlarged adenoids. She requires a thorough examination from an apt ENT specialist.
