White, Pearl-like spot on 15 month old's Uvula

My son went in for his 15 month old well visit and his pediatrician saw a little pearl- like cyst on his Uvula. He said he's never seen something like that before. He wasn't sure if it was a cyst, bacterial, or viral. He put my son on Amoxicilan just in case. My son had been running a bit of a fever that week and they wanted me to bring him back in 1 week to follow up. We brought him back yesterday for his follow-up and saw a different pediatrician. He checked and the spot was still there. This second doctor also said he'd never seen something like that before and wanted to give it 2 more weeks to go away. If it doesn't, then he said he'd refer us to a specialist.

Any ideas of what this could be?

I am going through the same exact situation right now with my 20 month old son and we just saw the specialist yesterday.  He too said that he will give it two weeks to go away and we have to wait until the 17th of March to find out what will happen next.   I wanted to ask you what happened in your situation when you went back after the two weeks.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
