go pick up Ocean Complete Nasal Sinus Irrigation at Walgreen's, Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, Long's, etc. this product is awesome, it is saline in a can with moisturizers. The saline can come out gently or in a steady stream. highly recommended by many ENT's accross the country and best yet is it over the counter. I think it also available at Costco.
Hi,
I found this in wikipedia:
Medical treatments include:
Nasal irrigation using normal saline
Nasal irrigation and removal of crusts using alkaline nasal douches
25% glucose in glycerine can be applied to nasal mucosa, this inhibits growth of foul smelling proteolytic organisms
Local antibiotics like Kemicetine (Chloramphenicol) Ostradiol and Vit D2
Ostradiol spray
Systemic streptomycin
Oral potassium iodide
placental extract injected in the submucosa
Hope this helps. There are surgical alternatives as well but I thought you might want to try these first.
Good luck.
Melissa
