not normal

thick mucus like fluid in my nose and throat area, been expieriancing this for a year now. what could this be? when i blow my nose trying to clear it out its very hard to get out and the more i blow it out more continues to form.

Probably not chronic sinusitis.  The symptom you listed is not nearly enough to draw such a conclusion.  I do agree with trying mucolytics and saline irrigations.  Beyond that, only a physical exam can determine whether this is a mucosal/inflammation issue (eg, allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis) or an anatomic issue (eg, septal deviation, turbinate hypertrophy).  Find an ENT doc if these simple measures fail.

Hi,

You are having a post nasal drip I suppose. This happens in chronic sinusitis.
Do you have any nasal allergy (like sneezing/ running nose/ nasal block)?
You can try taking mucolytics (like Bromhexine/Ambroxyl), instill saline nasal drops and do steam inhalations. Probably this would reduce most of your symptoms. Any more doubts you are welcome.
