they will be looking to see if the muscle wall of the uterus has thickened...as Ticked states...most likely looking for adenomyosis...I had this...do you have pain with your periods? as that is usually another sign of adenomyosis..
I had stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis and none of the ultrasounds or mri's showed it...only laproscopy showed the severity of my endometriosis...Hopefully they will get to the bottom of this soon for you!
The transvagional ultrasound was normal. No tumors or thickening of the uterine wall. The doc tried to perform an endometrial biopsy, but was unsuccessful. He could not get the cervix to open enough, even with manual manipulation. So, I'll go back for a follow-up ultrasound and we'll keep an eye on it.
I should have known this.. duh.. They are most likely checking for Adenomyosis
