New to this forum with CEBV

Hi all.  I have recently been diagnosed with CEBV after being ill since May of 2008.  My labs show EBV-VCA IgG of 3081, EBV-VCA igM of 129, EBV Nuclear Ag of 768 and Early AG diffuse of 368.  I've had a multitude of lab work to include thyroid tests, lyme disease, in effect, you name it, I've been tested for it.  My main problem is fatigue and muscle cramping.  This seems to have affected mostly my left lower extremity.  Has anyone else experienced this problem with CEBV?  I've had multiple mri scans for MS and all are negative.

I don't doubt for one minute that all of this is probably part of fibromyalgia. However, because of my spinal tap, which revealed high myelin sheath based protein, the neurologist feels like this could lead to MS. He has never even mentioned fibromyalgia to me. I went to see another rheumatologist this week, which was one of the ones that you sent to me and he looked at me as if I was from another planet when I mentioned fibromyalgia. He told me that I was not in enough pain for fibro. I am going to an LLMD and maybe I will be able to get some answers there. This is so frustrating and I am just tired of it all.

Numbness, tingling, fatigue, dizziness, weakness, etc. etc. can all go along with fibromyalgia.

Dr. Garth Nicolson, a MedHelp guest physician who was answering questions for MedHelp members last October said this about MS and fibro:

"I consider that there is a fine line between MS-like symptoms and FMS."

I too have EBV and have been ill since July of 2008. I just left my neuro's office and for the first time, he mentioned the correlation between MS and Epstein Barr. This is the first time in 4 months that he has mentioned those words to me. My main problem is numbness and tingling and sometimes muscle cramping. This disease make you feel very alone. I had an mri scan with and without contrast in September and will have another on this September. Nothing showed up on the mri scan.
