Abrasion on Right Eye

I have an abrasion on right eye, I have been using Muro 128 in it for a few days now. Wake up in middle of the night, only while I am on my right side, stabbing pain in right eye. If I close eyes tight and roll over the sstabbing pain goes away. Then I have to slowly begin trying to open eye......the day it happens it takes eye a long time, half day or better to clear up. Blurred vision, sensitive to light. My opt. has given me the choice of continuing with Muro 128 or oing to specialist and getting laser treatment for abrasion. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I should also add that I have had Hypertensive Retinopathy, last weekduring checkup, had greatly improved, I now have my blood pressure under control. Not sure if this would affect diagnosis.

I have had the abrasion issue for about a year. Off and on using Muro 128.
I am only 50 so the laser scares me a bit. I would prefer to do laser as last resort. But I am in college part time and wonder if I should just go and get it done during the summer, confused, not sure what to do.

Go to Dr. Hagan's blog and read the entry on recurrent corneal erosion treatment. Then go to www.aao.org and find an Eye MD ophthalmologist near you and see for diagnosis and treatment. You have not have treatment long enough to justify moving into a eximer laser resurfacing.
