Double vision - Shadows

Dear community,

I have noticed a problem with my vision:

When looking at a bright, posibly shining object on a dark background, I see a double picture of that object.
It looks like a strecht shadow of that bright object, looking out from behind of the object from every side, mostly from the top and the bottom.
A very explicit example of when I can notice this would be subtitles on the television.
The same problem also occurs with only one(any) eye opened. The similar effect for both eyes.

If I look from beneath my eyebrows, or if I block the top part of my eyesight with an object, close to my eye, the top "strecht shadow" would disapear. The same goes for blocking my eysight from other directions,

I have visited my eye doctor. After performing all the tests at his disposal, he could not find a cause of my problem.
The results were normal, he said. I do not wear glasses. They would slightly improve my vision of distant objects however.

Can you please share your knowledge on the matter.
Any advise or a hypothesis would be very appreciated.
If it would help, I can post the results of the eye tests of my doctor.

Thank You for the response.

I made a pinhole test.
Looking through the pinhole, the double vision disappears.

I believe that is a good sign?
Does that indicate astigmation, or some other cause?

Best Regards.
