Eye- Ocular Melanosis

Hi,
I have 3 years old son who i recently saw grayish spots on the white part of the both eyes. I took him recently to the pediatric eye doctor who diagnosed him with Nevus of Ota / ocular melanosis. My question is what is the difference between both and how do you cure them? will they ever go away with age?

I forgot to add that as to date there is no cure for either of the disorders.

I am a 26 years old and I was diagnosed with ocular melanosis and nevus of ota when I was 2 years old.  Both disorders are caused by an overproduction of pigment in the skin and in the eye.  My eye and the skin around it has only gotten darker with age unfortunately.  Be sure to regularly see an eye doctor to monitor for any changes.

There is no treatment and it will probably not go away.
