post op symfony low near vision

I am 30 years old
I had high myopia in both eyes of around -16
I was planning for ICL but my ophthalomoigist noticed bilateral minimal cataract so we switched to symfony IOL
I did both eyes last week
the doctor said that there will be difference in both eyes one for near and one for far vision
now I have perfect far vision good intermediate and bad near (can't read mobile screen nearer than about arm length)
I realize that the left eye intermediate vision is better than the right which is better at far
there is halos and glare and concentric circles around lights

my question is :
1-will my near vision get better or the doctor sit the focus for intermediate and it will remain that way ?
2-usually will the halos thing fade or just i get used to them ?

thanks.

Your vision may vary some for several weeks. By 3-4 weeks you will have a better idea.  same on your second question usually they go away but not always.

thanks Dr

I know that the far eye is set for emmetrope (0D) but what is the near eye supposed to be set?
emmetrophia is 0.00 and assuming a healthy eye would give normal vision unaided at 20 ft (6 m).  Mini-mono vision would have the  "intermediate eye" about -1.25   Full monovision would be about -2.00     Follow this link and read the article I wrote:  http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/1648102/Consider-ALL-the-Options-Before-Your-Cataract-Surgery-Working-Through-Whats-Best-For-You
