I'd like to know if anyone here can tell me what's up with this problem I've been experiencing all throughout college:
During class (and only during class), my eyeballs will vibrate and independently cross for between 10 to 20 minutes. It happens in the first class of the day, no matter what time of day the class is taking place. There is no pain. The right one crosses more sharply than the left. After the spasms have run their course, I am still without pain and now completely in control of my eyes.
I am nearsighted with an astigmatism in my left eye. The spasms occur whether I am wearing contacts or glasses equally. I find that if I sip water or chew on something the spasms go away. It does not matter is I have a full meal before class or not.
This has been going on since 2002. I am currently 24 years old and taking 100mg of Zoloft once a day. I am vegetarian but am careful to get a complete diet.
Any thoughts on what's causing the spasms?
