can the eye cyl and axis change this much?

in 2014, my sph was OD -225/ OS -3.0.  The cyl was -125/-1.0.  The axis was 92/73.  In June 2018 a new eye dr. says the sph is -250/-3.75, cyl is +.050/+0.75, and the axis is @5/@160.  Does this seem like a normal amount of change?  Thank you!!!

Looks to me like perhaps your earlier Rx was from an optometrist that uses the negative cylinder format and your new Rx was from an ophthalmologist that uses the positive cylinder format.  There is online conversion calculators that can convert between the two formats.  If this is the case, the axis changes 90 degrees between the two formats for example.

NHG is correct.  plus cylinder and negative cylinder look totally different like your weight in lbs or kilograms.  You can find on line calculators where you enter and it changes.
Thank you so much!  I did the conversion, and it made sense.  You have put my mind at ease!!
Hope we put your eyes at ease also.
