could puffy eyelids be effect of hidden mold?

I suffer from what I thought to be random puffy, burning, red, flaky eyelids. After reading other posts I thought perhaps it could be blepharitis and tried the eyelid washing and night time eye drops which significantly improved the symptoms overnight. I was clear of all eyelid and eye problems until I returned to work this morning. After about 3 hours of being in my office, my eyes are burning and feel very sensitive to the light, all of which subsided over the weekend. The only thing I can think of is that we had a sink that had been leaking into the carpet for weeks and it is in a small bathroom that has little to no ventilation. I take regular allergy medication for seasonal allergies but it doesn't seem to make any difference here in my office. I have kept a journal of sorts about my food/activity, etc to see if there is any correlation and the only consistent factor is that is always happens at the beginning of the work week and clears up over the weekends which leads me to believe there is something environmental...is it possible that it could be a mold issue?

Mold, not at all likely. See an ophthalmologist for a medical eye exam. Find one near you at www.aao.org or ask your MD for a referral.
