New glasses

I got new glasses for nearsighted as my doctor (eyeMD) did not think I need the Bifocals,  I got the glasses last night and they work ok but hard to get use to and when wearing them far away things are not clear at all. Is this correct for nearsighted glasses? Also when wearing them for computer or reading I get some double vision and it is hard to see. Is this just getting use to glasses? I never have worn glasses before. I feel like they are more trouble and easier just to squint to see than wear the glasses.

Thanks

No none of that is normal. Go back and have them checked and your eyes retested. NOTE: this is usually done without charge by most Eye MDs and optoms.

P.s. When I close one eye closeup vision is great, with both eye open is when it is bad. Words looks like when a printer prints over the same word twice.
