Letters start to disappear when reading

When I was trying to read, the letters on the piece of paper stared disappearing, so instead of "Random Words", It would say, "andom Wor", this doesn't last that long but after it goes away, I get a headache that lasts for many hours. Can someone please explain what is happening?

You need a good physicial exam by a MD an internal medicine or general practice with lab work. you need to tell the doctor about this.  you also need to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist to be sure you don't have eye disease. Ideally your test should include a macular OCT and a formal visual field test. Serious disease of the cardi-vascular system, neurological system and eye need to be excluded. If they can be exclused the most common thing that would cause this is "migraine with aura" or some people call 'ocular migraine'.
