I'm wondering if you mistakenly believe that what you see in the mirror is an image ON the mirror itself?
When you look into a mirror, you are not focusing at the mirror.... ie 2" in your example. You are NOT looking at the mirror, but rather, you are looking "through" the mirror. (like looking through a window) The farther the object is away from the mirror, the farther your eye needs to adjust it's focus.
I did understand the question.
It is because you are myopic.
A mirror is just a reflective surface. So if things are far away from the mirror the reflection will show up as such and you won't be able to see them well.
You did not get my question.
I was talking about the things reflected in the mirror!
why i can't see using a mirror, if i a myopic and i keep the mirror 2 inch near my eyes!?
everything that is near the mirror, i can see well their reflection in the mirror!
but everything that is far away from the mirror i can't still see them blurred in the mirror, even if the mirror is 2 inch near my eyes.
Question: why ?!
I guess I should add that your glasses correct for the nearsightedness. So when you put on the glasses the far away objects will become clear. -2 diopters of myopia is pretty mild, so your blurred distance vision without glasses shouldn't be too bad.
You answered your own question. ;)
It's because you are myopic. So of course things that are close to the mirror you will see fine but things far away will be blurred.
