Opening my mouth hurts one side of my jaw.

Hi, A few months ago my jaw started popping while chewing on food or gum.
I didn't think much of it since it would happen for a few days every month or so.
It started bothering me but still didn't research it, and now it doesn't pop anymore but it feels like I'm pinching something and it hurts EVERY time i eat or yawn or just open my mouth a little too much :/
Do you think i did pinch something or my jaw sorta moved?
And can i do something to fix it?
