Hello, I sometimes get a little sulfate free Native body wash soap in my eyes no matter how careful I try to be in the shower, and possibly some vegan Earth to Skin ingredients in my eyes on several occasions. I barely have rinsed my eye out after these times have happened. I probably did one or two splashes of water in my eye and that was all, on some but not all occasions- online says to rinse your eye for 20 minutes, I just learned. However, sometimes i wouldn't splash my eye and there would only be very light irritation to the eye after chemical exposure and then the irritation would stop so again, I didn't bother to rinse my eye out sometimes for these minor irritations. I just left the substance in my eye and it stopped feeling irritated seconds after it got in my eye. Should I worry about getting vision loss because I'm not rinsing out mild irritation in my eye? How long does it take my eye to heal after being irritated? This has been affecting how I think about life everyday. I keep thinking my life is over for not rinsing the substances out of my eye even though it stopped hurting quickly after exposure. I have no vision loss currently, but I am concerned that I could be damaging my eyes even though the irritation was mild and stopped fast. The ingredients of native body wash are Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Salt, Sodium Salicylate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, and the ingredients of the Earth to Skin product are Ingredients: Water ((Aqua) Eau), Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Octyldodecanol, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Niacinamide, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Cetearyl Olivate, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Sorbitan Olivate, C12-16 Alcohols, Pentylene Glycol, Honey Extract, Jojoba Esters, Adenosine, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Palmitic Acid, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Fragrance (Parfum), Cellulose Gum, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Butylene Glycol, Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid, Citric Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Caramel, Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Yellow 6 (CI 15985) Thank you for your help, I keep fearing going blind and barely find the ability to live my life
comfortable anymore. I even tried to put on goggles the other day but the fumes inside of the goggles irritated my eyes- I had to take them off and rinse them. This led me to feel concerned for vision loss further. I don't know what chemicals were in the goggles that caused my eyes to feel irritated once my goggles started to fog up in the shower. I don't swim. These goggles have never been in chlorine. Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping me have clarity.
