Firstly please advise how long her eyes will carry on deteriorating ?
Secondly will Continuous studies and working on computer will adversely affect her eyes ? whether she should pursue her studies in such carrier or stop that ?
Thirdly is there any means to stop the deterioration ?
Fourthly At what statge/age should she taken for Lasek surgery and are there any complication associated with it ?

Thanking U in anticipation

Dear Sir,

Thankks  for the reply. Sir, should discontinue her carrier where more often studies are required to the tune of 8-12 hours. Because this is the age where an individual builds up carrier. Secondly she is very keen to pursue engineering, from a good institute, which will require lot of reading.
Secondly I am afraid pulling at this stage should affect her emotionally. and she loses her interest for anything
I am really worried about her future. And please also advise till what deterioration Laser surgery could be performed for correction
Thanking U in antipation
URs Sincerely

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Get glasses for the computer (less strong than distance glasses).

Some doctors believe (as I do) that prolonged reading through a distance correction may cause myopia to progress.  At age 39 I started an MBA program and my eyes progressed from approximately -1.75 in both eyes to -4.25 OS and -3.25 OD over the next two years.  It was stable from my late 20's and remained stable at the new refraction until PRK was done at age 50.  I was reading approximately 20 hours more per week during the MBA.
