Scratched eye

My eye started to turn red the other day.  It also start d to hurt and have discharge.  Went to the eye doctor and he said it was a scratched eye.  Antibiotics 4 times a day for minimum of 5 days.  I’m scared this won’t heal because it has been 48 hours and I don’t feel much progress has been made.  Any advice?  How long will my eye be extremely red and how long until it heals where I can wear my contact again?

Sure and after you heal if you wear extended wear contacts consider switching to day time only, if you were wearing day time only ask your contact doctor about daily wear disposable. These scatches often come from not cleaning or disposing of the contact properly.

You can only get this information from the doctor that examined you and the doctor that fit your contacts. Know that wearing contacts can make eye infections much more serious. if you have had no improvment in the first 48-72 hout it needs to be rechecked even if on a weekend.
