I am rather prone to little widgets that sound like what you have. I take them to my dermatologist, who calls them milia, and removes them pretty much the way you did, except with magic doctor hands: He pricks them with a tiny blade and uses a stainless steel loop thingy to press out the goo.
Thanks very much for your quick replies and helpful responses, appriciate the help.
Usually that indicates a oil cyst called a sebaceous cyst. If troublesome they are relatively easy to remove.

Thanks for your quick response,
Just incase it changes anything, i just pricked one with a needle and noticed a small amount of a white substance come out. Does this change your original answer?
Thanks again.
See an ophthalmologist. Find one near you at www.aao.org. Most are age spots, papillomas or cholesteral deposits.
