I am 33 yrs. old. Last year I found out I was overcorrected for myopia (OD 5.25/-0.50/180 & OS 4.25/-0.75/180 was the incorrect Rx). Since then I have been gave multiple Rx's that I could "supposedly" see 20/15 with, but none that felt comfortable, so I had a cycloplegic refraction. The cycloplegic refraction revealed OD -4.25/-0.25/10 and OS -4.00. The only problem is the right eye is my dominant eye, and I tried this Rx for about a week off and on and could see nothing past fifteen feet with it. The opthamalogist told me this is to be expected. My question is, is this true, or could there be some underlying cause, such as a phoria, that could explain all this? Could I have had a bad cycloplegic refraction? I just.want to see clearly again. It is driving me insane. Thank you.
