Thank you Mr Presley and Night Hawk Guy MEDHELP.COM CLOSING FOR GOOD

By now you have likely seen that MedHelp.com is shutting down 5/31/24 for good. Not sure of the exact reason but like most things I'm sure it involves money. I wanted to thank both of you especially you Mr P for your comments and interest in helping those that post here. Over the past decades we have saved lives, saved vision all at no cost to the patient. Oct 4, 2024 I retired from seeing patients but I am still involved in medical research and editor of Missouri Medicine. Good health and fortune to you both and all that posted and answered questions here

Thanks, anytime a person loses the acces to free, accurate, timely medical advice it is a shame.

Very sorry to hear this.  Dr Hagan you were there for me when I experienced my retina detachments.  You made such a difference in many people’s lives.  Mr.  Presley I valued your input as well.   My best to all I have had the pleasure of interacting with over the years in this forum.   Take care my friends.   Jim

xltjim  Thank you. It is very gratifying to have helped so many (free of charge). If you or others know of any other websites with similiar format let me know and I'll see about posting there. Good fortune and many blessings to you and yours.  JHaganMD
I've looked at this site before which has a lot of eye health questions answered by ophthalmologists:

Thank you Dr. Hagen for the excellent advice you gave me when I had combined cataract surgery and a vitrectomy to repair a macular hole. May God bless you for your generosity to all of us who sought and received your help.

Thank you Dr Hagan for years of your offering free advice and information and so much time here, sad to see another free medical info site going away. I personally thank you for your advice over the past few years regarding my own cataract and glaucoma treatments.
By the way I am a former electronic engineer that included work with laser optics 20+ years ago.

I have known this site since 2013, I am not American and I have always visited this forum, but I was inactive for two years and I also posted under other usernames, because I always forgot my password.
Dr. Hagan always answered our questions and he was always active on this forum, I will miss everyone here, it was always nice to read the comments on various forums on this site and feel empathy with people.
I really went through some hard times, I lost my dad to a horrible lung cancer in 2021 and at the same time he had the disease I had tuberculosis, I cured myself but it was hard as I was very ill and mourning my father's death , now i'm better but I will miss reading everyone's posts. I hope there is something else similar.
Thank you and good health to all.

Player33. My father had tuberculosis and was in a tubercular hospital for a couple of years (this was during World War 2).  I hope all the hard times are behind you. I wish you health and happiness and for all of us a better world than the one we have now.

Thank you Dr. Hagan, it’s been an honor since 2015 to learn from your extensive expertise along with the personal experiences of the other members here. Still doing great with my own vision and eye care, and will definitely miss the forum.

I never did ask you, any kin to Elvis?
I am not, instead I am originally from Raleigh NC, well east of Tupelo MS and Graceland in Memphis. Moved to Texas 40 year’s ago and have lived here since. Once again though, and big Thank Yuh…Thankyuhverruhmuch is in order for offering a great forum.
