Trochleitis Questions

Hi everyone!  I've been dealing with periorbital pain for a month, sharp stabbing sensation when i look up. It started wiping off makeup from severely strained and dry eyes.  I had been playing videogames for hours on end sith the wrong prescription, topped by a virtual reality set gift. My right eye eould constantly twitch. My trochlear area is the only sensitive spot and i have zero pain unless i touch it or strain to look up.  Question, do steroid drops work or do i need an injection of steroids for inflammation?  Do i see an ophthalmologist or a neuro ophthalmologist?  This is the second time around for me, the first time, same cause, I took antiseizure meds and it went away over a few months.  Did it to myself again. Thanks for any input in advance.

Depending on where you live, your insurance and financial resources a neuro-ophthalmologist would be great but often you need/have to see a general ophthalmologist. There are a number of inflammatory conditions that occure in the trochlear area.  You can look of Brown's tendon sheath syndrome or inflammation of trochlea
