What make a thin sclera or white parts of eyes? My sclera is light blue, so can I wear contact lenses?
Thin sclera can occur very rarely as a result of a disease osteogenesis imperfect. HOWEVER by far the most common cause is thin sclera. This is more common in myopes who have long eyes; more common in front of the medial and lateral rectus where the muscle pull thins sclera (3 and 9 o'clock) on the cornea and in fair skinned, blue eyed people. It should not affect your contact lens wear.
Can broken rim of contact lenses harm sclera such as scratch, thin, or scar... Etc? Any symtop can occure if it does harm eye?
The contact lens does not touch that part of the eye.
I have had thin sclera since i was born, is there anything i could do to thicken it? Like stakr vitamins that build up collogen or? Thanks (:
Unfortunately no nothing will selectively make your sclera thicker.
