Thanks for posting your ophthalmologist's findings.
That speck is not likely a vitreous floater,it may be due to debris in cornea or posterior chamber etc mostly caused by stress or severe dry eye etc.
The ophthalmologist said nothing is wrong but he said my histroy of chronic stress and anxiety is a factor, he ask me if I felt and funny pressure in the back of my head which can be due to anxiety disorder. This was true. He told me the stress can be severe enough to interfere with blood flow and this can cause visual disturbances.
Please see an ophthalmologist. You problem can be related to stress such as Idiopathic Central Serous Retinopathy. However, it could be very serious and needs to be addressed.

is it possible that severe stress can cause visual disturbances? because two years ago I had an incident where my left eye was not fuctioning properlly for an half and hour, it was as if I had gone partially blind in the left eye and the only symptom I could remember was a very bad headache cause by stress, two days before I had a similar episode and that is when I saw eye flashers and the speck, now the speck and flashes are gone, could it be ocular migraines?

The black speck your describe that is in the center of vision is not consistent with dry eyes.
See an ophthalmologist.

It may remain there for a long time, mine is 6 months old.
ignoring is the best way to deal it,
yes I had a case of extremely dry eyes last week, my eyes more more red than usual!!!
I too have one like this, try closing other eye & using left eye look into the nose region in bright light environment (light falling on nose region of eye) you can see that speck staying there.
It may be formed due to dry eye.
