power differential in two eyes after iol implant

I had iol implant in both eyes following two surgeries spanned by two months. The implant in right eye was +9.50 and in the left +11.0. I have now normal distant vision for the right eye (but not reading) and normal near and reading vision for the left eye (but not distant). And, with these 'differently abled' eyes I do not now use glasses for either distant or near/reading vision. Is this ok? Or, should I go for glasses to make both the eyes even?

Looking forward to your advice,
Soumya

Here, in many parts of India, most eye surgeons in private hospitals only cite the prices of different iol without so much explaining the medical difference. Alternately or alongside, they distinguish between Indian-made and imported iol noting that the latter is superior eventhough considerably more costly. A friend tells me that actually iol is not made in India at all! Is this true?

Could someone enlighten me on what actually are the different types available and the actual medical differences?

You have a good monovision result.  You do not need glasses for most tasks.  You may need glasses for task that require good binocular vision such as mechanical work or other situations where good stereo vision is required.
