lazy eye - cure?

Hi,

I wear contact lenses as I suffer from short sightedness, furthermore my right eye appears to be slightly 'lazy'. My optician told me that this is because my left eye gets used more often which leaves my right eye less dependant on seeing things and as a result the muscles have become lazy.

This is just a suggestion - if i were to use my contact lens on just my right eye, making it more dependant to see thing would this strengthen my right eye? Im not suggesting I should do this all day as I dont want to make my left eye lazy, perhaps 30 minutes a day. If i were to try this, would I suffer from any side effects?

If this is not advised, is there any other ways I could solve this problem?

If you are a visual adult (older than age 10) using the amblyopic eye more will not likely help.

Sorry 1 last thing I forgot to add. When i shut my left eye and just use my right eye, it appears to be working as normal and i cannot notice any 'weakness' in it.

Just to clarify the problem with my eye, when I move my eyes to the left my right eye goes into the corner of my eye, and I can tell it has moved far too much into the corner. When I move my eyes to the right, i dont seem to have any problem.
