Please discribe the treatments. Thanks
I had an IOL implanted about six months ago. I also found this phenomenon where lights coming in from the side of my vision reflect in the lens creating an arc of light. It eas very noticeable to start with, and I was very anxious, and I also thought this would never go away. But walking in the dark this evening I hardly noticed at all. Believe me, after a while you stop looking for it, think about other things, and before you know it, you hardly notice any more.
Hi Darch,
How are you doing? Did you already do your other eye too?
Greetings,
Erik
Hi Gillian,
How are you doing now?
Me, the situation has improved to some degree. I found out that my eye pupil is quite large and that causes the effect. When getting older, the pupil will get smaller and the effect will disappear, so when I am 80 years everything is OK :-)
With my inplant I can read and see sharp in the distance. That's cool. But I suffer quite some light effects in the night.
I am still unsure to have my other eye get the same type of inplant. I am afraid of having both eyes done.
I am also very curious about the treatments that Ray wrote about... What kind of treatments. I read somewhere about eye drops that make the eye pupil smaller and the effect disappears.
Another phenomena is that the brain filters out unwanted visual effects. Because I have just one inplant, the brain can not filter out the effect yet.

I also get this - can I ask what treatments are available?

Hi,
How are you doing now? One week ago i had my right eye done and experience the same effect. I also exactly have the same concerns. I fact I feel quit stressed about it.
Thanks
Erik (Netherlands)
Many thanks for your comments.... By what mechanism would this improve over time? Meanwhile, I have cancelled the second implant until I learn more.
I would not like both eyes to be similarly affected.
