Thank you so much Jodie for your comments.
These problems were not mentioned to me, even though
I had asked about complications.
I guess it is the old adage, when in doubt, don't.
best regards jacqui

It is almost NEVER permissible to operate on both eyes at the same time. Far better do one eye let it heal, be sure you're happy before going on to second eye.

Do your research on multifocal lOLs they are oversold in my opinion. We have many more complaints and problems with multifocal IOLs I would not want a multifocal IOL in my eye or anyone in my family. The worst of the multifocal IOL, in my opinion, in ReZoom and I would avoid that at all costs.

I would opt for a high quality spheric IOL like tecnis. (fewest complaints, happiest people)

Even when ReStor provides reasonably good near and distance vision (not always the case), it is associated with a variety of problems such as glare, halos, and "waxy" vision.  Many people with ReStor are unable to drive at night.  Do your research before signing on the dotted line.

Any surgery can have complications (e.g., infection, inflammation, etc.), with associated loss of vision.  Why risk such complications in both eyes?  Adjustments can be made for the second eye surgery if things (including the IOL power predictions) don't go as expected for the first eye.
