replacing a lens

I had a multifocal lens implant following cataract surgery a year and a half ago.  After yag laser, ointments, drops, pills and prk, I still have severe ghosting, halos and glare.  What I want to know is if I have surgery to replace the multifocal with a monofocal, is there a risk of retinal detachment and do you know of a good doctor in Maryland that could do this surgery?

you are at an increased risk of retinal detachment because you have had a cataract operation.  The Wilmer Eye Institute of John Hopkins is as good as anyplace in the world.
