2ww - Early July 2010 - Anyone else?

Hi all,

I am in the dreaded 2ww, until July 11, 2010, when I go in for my blood test. I'm looking for buddies to keep me company and prevent me from doing HPTs...until a reasonable time at least!!

Anyone on the same schedule?

Good luck, and lots of baby dust to you all!

SL

A little about me, and where I am on this ttc journey:

--Age 39. Good health, but dh has low count and slow moving troops. 2 failed IUIs.

--Now on 1rst IVF cycle, which has gone like this:
06/15 to 24: Follistim and Menopur shots, 150 each
06/25: HCG trigger
06/27: Egg Retrieval. 14 eggs! :-)
06/28: Antibiotics and started progesterone shots. 10 eggs fertilized! :-)
06/28-07/04: Mild to moderate OHSS. :-( Not comfortable, but not so bad to have to cancel transfer. :-)
07/02: Day 5 Embryo Transfer. 2 good embies (blastocytes) transferred. :-) 4 stayed under observation for freezing.
07/04: Progesterone test. All good. None of the extra embies were good to freeze. :-(
07/05: Better from OHSS, though still od'ing on Gatorade to prevent return, which might come if I do get pregnant.
07/06: Waiting.... no symptoms, aside from a couple of mild twinges in lower abdoment... According to the schedule below, implantation should still be occuring.

07/11 is blood test day!

---------------------------

5-Day Blast Transfer - What happens each day after:

Day One: The blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell
Two:         The blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus
Three:      The blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation
Four:        Implantation continues
Five:        Implantation is complete, cells that will eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop
Six:          Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) starts to enter the blood stream
Seven:     Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
Eight:       Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
Nine:        Levels of hCG are now high enough to detect a pregnancy

Hi Korrskat, welcome.

Well I'm on day 6 past ET, when HCG starts to enter the bloodstream, according to my little list above. I'm anxious to see whether that leads to any more identifiable symptoms. So far, I have only a painful pinch in my lower abdoment when I stretch, sore bbs when I first wake up, and a vague feeling of fullness down there. The last one might be just in my head...

But only about 66 hours til my beta test, and probably about 72 til they call me with the results... Can you tell I'm anxious to get there?

I've made it one more day without breaking down and doing a HPT, though I was very tempted this morning. My husband is a great help. He has more willpower than I do, so he's good at convincing me not to do it in the mornings and evenings, and I don't want to do it when he's not around, because I want us to find out together. We might break down and do one tomorrow though. I sense him weakening...

Well, lots of patience and distractions to all of you, and sticky baby vibes!!!

SL

Hi, Im new here... my RE put me on gonal f and ovidrel. my first iui in april failed. just did 2nd iui this past weekend 3rd and 4th and was on the same meds again. i had a blood test on 7/7 and my nurse said my progesterone is at 8.16 and a booster shot was not needed.  i dont have any symptoms but i feel extremely fatigued. i am anxious but i dont want to stress out about this 2ww. i guess i have to be patient and hope for the best. good luck to everyone ttc.

I'm the same as you. I have some sort of muscle feeling going on. Doesn't feel like cramps but, I'm being paranoid about it. I'm checking for blood every time I'm going the bathroom. So far none, and its day #24 now. This will also be my first 28 day cycle in 9 months.

Good luck everyone, I hope to hear good news.

Hi misslollipop and nolta, welcome.
I'm not craving anything in particular, or going to the bathroom more. I do have some mild cramps, and today I saw a little bit of light pink discharge, which worried me because sometimes I have that before my period comes. On the other hand, I don't usually have cramps... Anyway, I think I'm just hypersensitive right now to anything going on down there!
Wishing everyone a quick few days and good baby news!

Im on the same boat, I’m on day 23 and I have 5 days to wait to test. But, I got my blood test back today and came back positive for ovulation. So I’m really excited for that. Are you all peeing a lot more than normal. I can’t stop going, especially when I lay down?
