Anyone starting IVF Jan/Feb 2009?

I am on a break after we canceled my 2nd IVF due to low follie count, I am taking BCP and DHEA for 2 months and then trying again. Just wondering if anyone else is on a break in between or just starting first one in Jan/Feb 2009. We can pass the time, while we wait.

Well my cycle has been canceled. No follicles. The u/s tech said even my lining didn't look as good as last time. So I am taking some time off once again. Andrea

So far so good.
My levels are on the rise!  7 follies for me, which is good.
I'll continue to take Follistem over the weekend, and I go back Monday for a checkup.
For now, I'm content. Things seem positive!

As some of you know my IVF cycle with ICSI was postponed due to the fact that my dh had to have a consult with a urologist, well his follow-up appointment today.......
So my husband does have vericies, but they don't think doing surgery is the way to go, they're not sure it will make a difference.  He did have an infection in his prostate and the dr. seems to think that this might have had an effect on his seman analysis.  I don't know that they will give the permission for ICSI.  They also said they thought his SA looked fine (after a month of antibiotics).  I have an appointment with my RE first thing on Monday morning to go over the results of my husbands testing and then make a plan as to what will come next.....I'll keep you all updated!  Good luck to those in your cycles, I'll be following the posts and looking for all of those BFP's that are to come!!!!!

Andrea - If your baseline u/s was on 1/12 you shouldn't have any follicles, right?  I didn't have any on my baseline on 1/9, then they started the FSH and I went back on 1/13 and had some.  I so hope that when you go tomorrow that the news is positive.  I will be praying for you.  Sounds like your hypothyroidism could be causing you difficulties.  What does your RE say about that?  I hope your visit tomorrow is good.  I'll be waiting to hear about it.

Taking a Break-

sticktome are you on lupron? have you started stims? Let me know and Ill update the list.

AFM my baseline u/s Monday showed no follicles. But they started me on 5 Lupron, 600 Gonal-f and 150 Menopur to see if my body does something. I am 37 with hypothyroidism. Which I think is why my follicles grow slow. I have been doing some research and it said it can slow the metabolism of egg growth. So this cycle maybe canceled. I go back Friday for u/s and b/w and I will let you all know. If it is canceled we are looking into seeing another RE.  Andrea
