Question about sperm count

Does anyone have an issue with their dh's sperm count?  I have a friend that just got their SA report back and there are issues with count at 12.5 mil and morphology.  She was asking me if I thought an IUI would be beneficial to just get the good swimmers.  She has not had any testing done herself.  I am not sure what to suggest to her because my issue is with me and my age, not dh's count.  They have been trying for 10 months now and went to see a urologist and he suggested for them to try for a few more months.  She doesn't want to wait because she knows where the problem lies.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have issues with myself (endo and pcos) and thought surely dh wouldn t'have probs too ,but just to be safe got an SA done, and have low motility and morphology (2%) the RE defintely thought moving straight to IUI was the way to go, since all natural chances with bad morph and low numbers are so much worse... So yea I agree with Mary97, I hate to waste time, so i'd say go to an RE!   wish her good luck!

She needs to get a basic infertility work up.  Sometimes it is a combined problem.  Don't wait... move quickly.  I wish I had.
