mommyin10- I'm on the same medicine. I only take it once a day though. Has your doctor mentioned getting steroid shots for the baby's lungs at all? Mine hasn't but I was wondering about it. I'd like to be as prepared as I can be ya know. I don't want her to stay in the hospital at all if we can prevent it.
Mommyin10: Okay lol, I won't apologize for TMI anymore! Now that she is even lower, for me to turn over and switch sides is almost impossible! It hurts soooo bad :-( When I stand, I can feel the pressure of her head on my pubic bone, but when I sit, man does it hurt especially if I try to sit forward. I still haven't seen anymore of my plug, but I can feel it I guess is the way I should put it lol...it's definitely a gross feeling there!! How have your numbers been? Did you talk to the doc yesterday (I think...?)? Have you and DH finalized names?
sbumblebeeo: Yeah, things have changed lol! Read my post above to mommyin10 :-) I'm glad bedrest is a little easier for you today. I don't blame you for looking forward to showers and OB appt.'s lol!! When DS is home with me during the week (instead of basically pre-school...) we'll just go to a store just to walk around to get out. I don't go too far anymore though...and it's getting harder for me to lift him into the truck! How are your cramps today? I hope the meds work and it buys Shelby some more time to grow in there :-)
I'll check back in a little later!!! Have a great day ladies :-)
Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)
I hear you ;) I look forward to my showers & getting out of the house once a week. It's funny how excited you can get for a doc appt ;) What meds are you taking? Mine is Niphedipine (procardia). I take it every 6 hrs. The last internal exam I had was 12/31. My ob hasn't done one since because she doesn't want to disturb anything. It's amazing that I've made it 1 1/2 months since being taken off work. Almost 5 weeks on bedrest! Be sure to move your ankles up, down, side to side & in circles. Compression socks help with circulation too. Any time you need to vent, talk, whatever, I'm here laying in bed, too ;) We'll be 30 weeks tomorrow, so not much longer! :)
dnikki- wow lots has changed with you and really quickly! I bet you are excited for her to come. That is so interesting that you measure smaller. I learn something new every day. I'll be keeping up with you for sure. It gives me a purpose. Thanks for that.
mommyin10- You made me laugh. all those arms and legs would cause a lot of movement. I too hope you get some better rest tonight.
As for me... the first day I mostly pouted and cried. I know this is necessary but it is very depressing to me. I'm doing bette \r today than yesterday and maybe I'll get use to it. I can already tell that my favorite time of day is shower time. I tried to put it off as long as I could so that I got to enjoy it. I get to sit at the table and eat so I look forward to that time too. I ought to put on another 20 pounds now! It's kind of sad that I am excited about going to the doctors every week just so I get out of the house! LOL. What I don't understand is why they did the internal u/s. It made me cramp way worse than I was before. It's just now calming down and that might be due to the meds he's got me on to calm my uterus. Apparently that feeling of my period coming was actually my utrus contracting... who knew? LOL. Well that's it for now. I'll be checking in again since I have nothing to do now...
When is your 3-hr test? I meant to tell you the diet they'll put you on if you do have GD is similar to diabetics, but not quite the same. You need carbs for your baby. So, the main things I had to cut out completely were fruit juices, muffins, milk at breakfast... Of course, sweets, but I'm not a big sweets eater. I can have carbs, it's just that everything is monitored. I can have two pieces of bread for breakfast & lunch, a tortilla with chicken dinner, etc. If you gave any questions, just ask. I can give you a sample of a day's menu ;)

dnikki: Happy 36 Weeks!!! :) Please don't apologize when giving "tmi"! :) It's really very helpful to me. It's good to know also about you measuring smaller now that she's dropped deeper into your pelvis. That's interesting! How are you feeling today? I did sleep better last night. It's just so hard to roll from one side to the other. I literally have to get up to rotate & when my bladder's full, I can barely get myself up! Thanks for the pic comments! :) Those are my favorites so far. I can't upload pics from my phone, so hopefully dh can upload new belly pics f/our main computer soon. Our computer is in a detached room out back & since I'm on bedrest, dh won't let me go back there ;) I take a pic every week, so maybe I can have him post one this weekend :)
