My first IVF cycle has been canceled?!?!?  I only had 5 follicles growing after 4 days of stimming and the RE did not think I was responding well to the meds at all.  I was taking 450ui of follistim and 75iu of menopur...very disappointing.  I am returning to the doctor on Jan 21 to see if any of the follicles have matured enough and maybe we can do an IUI.  The doctor does not know what happened, but is thinking possibly the chemo diminished my ovarian reserve?  Won't that be aweful? My husband does not even want to TTC again and this is not helping at all.  I'm okay and trying to stay hopeful :-)

Yay for new U/S pictures and then DH and I are going to pick up a few things.  We're going to Babies R Us.  I just love that store.  And.... I HAVE A COUPON!  :)  I'll try and post pictures tonight if I'm not too tired.  Oh and I found a pair a p/j's for the hospital at Target two weeks ago so I decided to give them a try and they are sooo comfy!  We're going to get me two more pairs.  The baby book says to get gowns verses pant sets for a c-section so nothing is on your tummy by your stiches and since I don't have any I've been looking for some that aren't grammy looking.  Finally... I'm happy.  I started making a list of things I need to take to the hospital for me and for the baby and a few things for DH.  The baby's list is sooo small.  I don't even know what I need.  I feel like a bad mom already.  MOMMYIN10- Have you made your list yet?  What do I need besides a car seat and an outfit?

sbumblebeeo: That's great you found a good nightgown & you're getting yourself packed & ready :) I packed a bag before my last appt. I kept bringing a bag at each appt just in case, but this one will stsy packed ;) Honestly, I'm not sure what else you'll need for Shelby. I haven't packed anything for the babies yet. I still need to wash their clothes. I'm planning to bring a going-home outfit, but maybe leighanne, luvkayln or Stacey can help us out :) Cant wait for your update today!!! :) Can you believe we'll be 30 weeks on Thursday?!? :)

sbumblebeeo: Hmmm, as for the bag for Shelby, take 2 going home outfits - you never know when she'll pee on something (yes, I've heard girls do it too lol), 2 onesies for underneath, 2 pair of socks and a pacifier if you plan to use one. If you plan to get her on a nightly routine - like putting lotion on her every night before bedtime (we did that with DS and it worked very well...) then I would pack that also...But I think that's all you should need. Plus a blanket and the obvious car seat. Do you have one of those bundle me things that go over your carseat that way you dn't have to dress her in a bunch of clothes and a jacket? Those things are great!!!

Mommyin10: I'll post more below, but how are you doing?

AFM: I get the occasional contraction, but yesterday I started having pain/pressure on my cervix. I don't have much of the stabbing pain today, but I even still feel more pressure and such when I'm sitting. It's weird to describe. I had intentions today to just sweep and mop and maybe dust...Well, It turned into cleaning the doors, some of my windows, my bathroom mirrors and my kitchen lol...My belly is a little sore (like muscular soreness) so now I'm done cleaning until later! I have a massage at 3 today which will be sooooo nice! I plan on making an appt. for one next week too, since I have a feeling she will be here sometime next week :-) I am going to start walking a little bit more and getting my exercise ball out to sit on, hoping to get her engaged in my pelvis before my next appt. I'm also hoping to be dilated to at least 2 at my appt. on the 28th! We shall see.... I'll check in later! Have a great day ladies!!!

doing good. The doc called yesterday to check up on me. Based on my #s, he adjusted my insulin a bit. Today my #s were a little high, so hopefully they'll even out. I was so tired today! I just kept falling asleep. It sounds like you're pushing yourself too hard. I hope you're able to get some rest ;)

Mommyin10: You're welcome :-) I took some outfits for DS when I had him, and he peed on 2 of them lol along with peeing on DH and I ;-P Did the doc lower your doses? I hope they even out too...I can't even imagine how tire you are carrying 2 babies!!! I'm exhausted with one lol! I didn't push myself too hard...I stopped after wiping down the doors and bathroom mirrors and such lol. The thing is, I didn't/don't even feel tired!! I got my massage, which felt good, but it hurt my hips/pelvis just to lay there even with my pillow. Hope you had a good day!!

So I made dinner tonight which is not unusual lol, but during the actual eating I started having contractions again. One right after the other it seemed like. I had probably 10-12 in less than 45 minutes...They have slowed again, but these are getting more uncomfortable it seems than they were on Saturday. I'm having the same pressure and stabbing pains again in the cervix area...Not sure if I should call L&D and see what they say or just wait and see if the contractions cluster up again... I'll keep you ladies posted though I promise!!!

Here's the update and it's not good.  I'm on bed rest for the next 6 weeks.  My cervix is shrinking every day and the doctor is not happy with that.  He wants me to stay home.  I have a desk job so I feel really guilty about it.  What's the big deal about going to work?  Doctor said no cooking, no cleaning, no nothing.  Shower and bathroom only.  I am going to go to my babyshower though. I warned everyone that I won't be able to do anything except sit there.  Next appointment is Feb 1st.  Oh and he put me on some medicine everyday to help prevent contractions.  I told  him sometimes it feels like I am going to start my period like cramps and that was that.  I'm sad right now.  I know I have to do it but it is VERY hard for me to be dependant on anyone else even my husband.  I did stop at the craft store and pick up a cross stitch blanket for the baby so i can work on that from the couch and I stopped at Baby's r us and got her 3 new outfits they were on sale plus 5.00 off with my coupon.  I got another pair of p.j's for the hospital too.  And that's it.  I'm on the couch for good now.  I am going in to work tomorrow to talk to HR and see how this works.  I hope they consider it medical and not  maternity. I'm tired and stressed out right now so I'm going to lay down now.

dnikki-  I've been checking on you.  I hope you are ok and you can keep the baby in there a little longer.  Take care of both of you!!

sbumblebeeo: Looks like you're following in my footsteps. I'm sorry to hear that, but the same thing happened to ne & with your cervix shrinking, the best thing to do is stay off your feet, lay on one side or the other & if you're sitting up or laying flat, move one hip so that you're off center a bit. When I was in the hospital, dh & I watched the monitor based on how I was laying in bed ;) Although I didn't feel contractions, there they were. Being on your feet isn't good, so it's really best to follow your doc's advice. Can you call your HR dept tomorrow rather than going in? I know it su cks, believe me! It was totally unexpected for me when I was a day shy of 6 months, but following doc's advice, here I am almost 1 1/2 months later ;) It's important that you don't drive either, ok?  It's so hard to rely on dh for everything. It took me a while to let go & accept it. Hang in there!!!

Dnikki: Actually he upped my dose that I take before dinner. I'll talk to him again tomorrow & see what he says. I would definitely call the hospital with contractions that close together... you know they'll say to come in, though. That's great you had a nice massage :) I really wish I could get a manicure/pedicure. My hand & feet ache! I'm going to check w/my doc. dh said he'd take me if we get the ok. Keep us posted!!! ;)

Contractions have slowed again, probably 1-2 an hour now but still get the stabbing pain in my cervix. As long as they don't start up again I'm just going to call the OB's office in the morning and see what they say. I haven't lost my plug yet but (TMI warning) I have noticed my discharge has gotten thicker which feels so gross! Anyways, I'm putting some heat on my right SI joint - It's been really bothering me tonight along with my actual hips. I feel like I'm walking funny... I'll check in in the morning :-)

Hey girls! SOrry for the delayed posts. Lots going on here. I am about a week after my DPO and i am SICK SICK SICK. My bbs have been sore since like two days after ovulation. I have been so sick to my stomach. Im not sure I ever remember feeling like this for either PMS or pregnancy. Any thoughts to this?

Okay.....she went back to my original calcualtions so I am 12w 4d, sorry for the confusion. So we did get to hear the heartbeat, my stepson was even there! It was 154. I don't have to go back for 4 weeks :)

I also got bad news today.....When I had my 1 hour glucose test, my fasting sugar was fine (92), but my 1 hour one was 154.... so she is concerned that I have gestational diabetes...so I have to go get the 3 hour glucose done and to see a dietician. Which I should know diabetes pretty well, both of my parents have it. I have thought long and hard today, and man I never realized how hard diabetics have it. I am not too much of a sweet tooth, so that is'nt going to bother me that much....it's going to be the carbs. I love them carbs...lol

Well we will see how things turn out. As long as my baby is okay that is all that matters to me. Hope you ladies have a wonderful week!

Ad_06: That's awesome you heard the heartbeat! :) Congrats ! I bet your stepson was in awe, huh?! Sorry about your 1-hr test. If you have any questions or want to talk about the 3-hr or gestational diabetes, I'm here ;) The earlier you treat it, the better it is for baby, so that's great you're getting tested.

Jmh2005: Hmmm, could it be?! ;) Do you feel positive about this cycle?  How many dpo are you? I'll go ahead & update you. Hopefully what you're feelingbis good news ;)

I'm going for an IUI, my third back to back one in this go, 3rd time lucky I hope! Its my DH's birthday next month around the time I will be betaing, praying I can give him a BFP as a birthday present.

I have trouble sleeping too. It takes a while for me to fall asleep and then I wake up a couple of times... Sometimes I feel thirsty and sometimes I need to pee.

Keyan sorry about AF. I can understand how awful that feels.

Sammy_J-Welcome!  Good luck with this IUI!  I got pregnant three times using IUI so I know it will work for you too:)

sbumblebeeo- I am sorry that you are feeling down and that you have to be on bedrest.  It will all be fine in the end though.  I hope that the time passes quickly for you.

ad_06- I am sorry that you may have gestational diabetes and that you have to go through the 3 hour test.  I hope that you get good results.  I can't believe you are almost 13 weeks already!

dnikki- It stinks that you are having so much pressure and stabbing pain.  They may say to come in but they also may say to wait until the contractions are 5 minutes apart.  I guess it depends how concerned they are with the stabbing pain you have been having.  I had a pregnancy massage towards the end of my first pregnancy and I loved it:)

mommyin10- I am glad you are still hanging in there! You must be so uncomfortable.  I am already feeling uncomfortable and I only have one and am not even half way there!  I have started feeling the baby kick so that has been cool.

Okay, talked to the nurse this morning - she said if I'm having pain to go ahead and come in whenever today. I told her if the contractions started up like that again I would. But...I think I may have lost a little of my plug this morning. So I'm going to eat a little lunch and my neighbor is going to come over and watch DS while I go to the OB's. I'll update when I get back in a bit!
