Hi there - i used to post on this forum but moved to the preg forum when i got my first bfp! i decided to have a look here and came across your post!
i strongly believe that regular chiropractic care played a huge part in me menstruating again (finally...) and then ultimately ovulating again and then getting pregnant :-)
my dh and i decided to both go to a chiropracter to help us along in our journey. within 2 months i started to menstruate again regularily (as i wasnt or maybe for a month at a time 1/2x a year). i had a few positive opk's but our timing or something may have been off. not too long after i was put on metformin (for pcos and insulin resistance) and on the 3rd month fell pregnant and i am now 4 weeks away from giving birth to a son.
i too had issues with my sciatica and lower back etc (amongst other areas) and my pelvis was out by alot which can interfere with menstruation iregularity and fertility etc. i believe that its definately worth it too see a chiro. When u get ur bfp also its worthwhile seeing a chiro through pregnancy as it also helps keeping pelvis aligned etc etc... Ive seen my chiro every few weeks in pregnancy and Ive had no issues not even morning sickness. you must make sure ur chiro is pregnancy specific trained.
if u want any more info p/m me id be happy to chat about it :-)
Sounds like a great book ~ but ~ when I was going through chripractic care, it actually caused one of my miscarriages back in May of last year....completely stopped chiro and went the accu route this year ~ HOPING it will turn out ALOT better..so far so good...BEST of luck EVERYONE!!!
Thanks! I actually wanted to get it, but forgot - oops! I saw him on the Today show awhile back and he had one of his successes with him! Really gave me a great deal of hope! I'll need to get it!
Thanks, again!
Hi... I have never been to this forum, but just read your post and I totally agree with you! If you have never read this book you must... It is awesome! And, I swear that the advice in this book helped me get pregnant naturally in June. It is called the "Tao of Fertility" by Daoshing Ni.
He discusses how conventional treatments are useful to some, but for others, a more holistic approach works just fine. In fact, my brother is at Tufts Medical School right now and his professors actually used this book in medical discussions because it is so informative. Anyway, good book... user friendly format... and can be purchased at Barnes and Noble.
