closed cervix because of cryotherapy scar tissue

In 2002 i had a cryotherapy because i had HPV and i had abnormal cells in the cervix entrance. The cryotherapy was a success and until now i have had no problems with my Paps. I have been married for 7 months and trying to have a baby but i can't. I had a hystersalpinography yesterday and my doctor told me he had to dilatate the entrance of the cervix because the catheter couldn't enter to perform the hystero. Finally he dilatated the entrance of the cervix and introduced the catheter and the histerosalpinography was a success. the tubes and the matix were permeable. he only said that the entrance of the cervix was a closed because of the scar tissue that was left of the cryotherapy a few years back. Could there be any chance that I can get pregnant without any IVF or artificial insemination? FYI i do get the menses every 26 or 27 days and it lasts 3 -4 days. I do have cervical mucus coming down during the cycle.
I appreciate your comments.

That's good! You'll be able to get some more info on Wednesday then. As for opening the cervix, there are medications that do that, but I don't think they are used when trying to conceive (more to induce labor or for D&Cs), and I'm not aware of any natural remedies that do this either. But I wouldn't worry about that yet. Just wait and see what your doctor says first... Best of luck with everything!

I do have cervical mucus around time of ovulation. The doctor did the HSG just the day after I ended my menses. I read last night that around time of ovulation the cervix opens a little bit to allow sperm to pass. I have a doctors appointment wednesday (which is the day of my ovulation)  cause he wants to see my mucus that day. I hope he tells me about the cervix being a little bit open.
Do you kknow if there is a way of opening the cervix naturally or with medication?
thanks

I would double-check with your doctor, but if you have a normal period and also see fertile cervical mucus around the time of ovulation, I would think you're fine. The sperm are so microscopic in size compared to the catheter they use for an HSG. Plus the opening to the cervix also changes during the cycle, with it being the most open right before and during ovulation (and also when you get your period) and more closed the rest of the cycle; and they usually perform the HSG at other times than around ovulation. But I'm not familiar with scar tissue on the cervix, so if I were you, I would definitely double-check with your doctor and see what he says. Best of luck!
