December 2010 IVF-ers

Anyone TTC, having a fresh or frozen embryo transfer in December?

I'm having a FET on Friday, 12/10. Let me if you're going through the same. I'd like a cycle buddy.

Deniii-CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is Awesome..Keep us posted on your beta. Hopefully we will see more BFP's.

Worththewait- Welcome to the thread. All the symptoms you described are normal. I'm sorry to hear about your negative results but you must not begin to blame yourself. This is a stressful process and sometimes it doesn't work but it will work for you. Don't give up. We are here to support you through this process until you get your BFP. Hang in there with us. Your blessing is coming!

Soulagement-Welcome and yes, the bloating, cramping, spotting is all normal. Just some of what we experience during this process. Pregnyl doesn't delay menses but if you're on progesterone, it will delay your menses. How many units of Pregnyl did you inject 5,000, 10,000, ?. The time span various but I would say you could start testing as early as 8dpt or a couple of days before your beta. Since I tested negative upto the day of my Beta, unless it's positive, I would not stress out too much. Keep us posted and SSBD.

Jlscheri-Hi and welcome to the thread! You're right, this process is stressful but we are a ridiculous hopeful group of ladies. I think we've all experienced quite a few losses but somehow we are able to continue on. There are actually quite a few ladies on the website who have changed RE's for one reason or another and gone on to have successful outcomes. Sometimes, after reading other posts we are able to ask more clarifying questions of our doctors which can spark a change in treatment plans, etc. I'm in the same boat as you. This was our final IVF attempt with help from insurance. We would be totally out of pocket for any other treatments. Praying your embie sticks and digs in deep. Keep us posted.

SSBD to Everyone!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to say that I made my post before I read the string. I was just so excited to find a current thread (most you find are very non-current)! I see that you guys are a really tight nit group, which is awesome, I haven't seen that in the gazillions other websites I've looked at. I just wanted to say this because my earlier comment about no one ever replying completly does not apply to this group! Good luck to all.... This is an emotional roller coaster and stressful time in all of our lives. Happy Holidays to us!

Thanks! It is such a stressful, frustrating, emotional, and isolating process! I'm so sick of overanalyzing every little symptom. I'm trying to be more relaxed about it this time, since from experience I can say that the overanalyzing and stressing doesn't really help! Everyone's symptoms are so different, what is a sure failure for one person is a great sign for another. There are no rights and wrongs; it is so individual. I keep thinking if Celine Dion can go through 6 cycles, maybe I have hope. We are getting to the end of our insurance coverage and will have to decide what to do to proceed. If this does't work, I'm going to get a 2nd opinion at another IVF facility. Is that common? Has anyone ever switched after several failed cycles?

I have plenty of hope for you, my friend told me that her cousin is now pregnant after 12 IUI and 3 IVF's! Lord! I really want to hear of your results  :)   I'm sitting in this storm as well, be careful getting there tomorrow.

I had a frozen transfer 2 weeks ago. Was supposed to have my beta today, but due to the storm, I'm going tomorrow. I've had mild mild spotting and cramping since XMAS. I have aready had 3 failed fresh cycles, and a failed IUI. I almost always get a full blown period  2 days before my test, however, they switche my progresterone this time, so I'm thinking it might be sronger. I too have PCOS, and have had good quality embryos. They just don't "stick" after the transfer. We have had tons of follicles each time, yet only once were we able to freeze any. I don't know if everyone knows this (I didn';t), but just because you freeze them, it doesn't mean they will survive. We had 2 frozen and only one made the thaw. They never told us that was a possibility. Well, I have some experience if any one has questions. It seem that we all post our situations, but I never see replies to anyone! Good luck to all. Jennifer

I also have my BT on jan. 3rd, but had my 3det on Dec. 21st. They transfered 2 fresh embies. My fingers are crossed for the both of us. I know I'm new to the site but after reading everyones posts I feel like Im not alone.  :)
I am a GC for a couple in Norway and all I want is a BFP for them. I've been very tired, very hungry and had alittle cramping the past few days, is this a good sign or is it just from all the hormones I'm still on? Of course I POAS yesterday morning and this morning but both were negative... Way too early I think. right?
