low beta numbers

I guess I'm wondering what my chances are.  I talked to my RE today and they said my beta numbers barely rose and told me that it didn't look good.  On monday (14dpt) it was 162 and today it was only 173.  

I've had some spotting and some mild cramping but everything else is fine.  I don't know if I can deal with a miscarriage.

The doc called this afternoon and said my levels dropped quite a bit.  I didn't ask by how much, but they said I should expect to get my period by this week and they are thinking I'll be back to 0 by Tuesday when I go back for another blood test.

I go back to the RE tomorrow for another blood test.  I've got a nasty migraine, and I read that people who suffer hormonal migraines may get them when the hcg is surging...  I'm remaining positive, but must also be realistic....

I wish tomorrow was already over.

From what I have read the numbers are suppose to double every 48-72 hours.  Please let us know what your RE says and best of luck to you.  I'll say a prayer for you.

I haven't had experience with this but I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you...I hope everything ends up being ok.  When is your next beta??

i have never known my numbers or asked for them so i am not sure what to say. but i noticed no one responded yet so i just wanted to say good luck and keep us posted.
