chlomid and IUI

I was diagnosed with a mild form of endometriosis 10 years ago, since then I have been on medication to slow the process down. My husband and I just started our first round of chlomid and IUI...I was wondering how effective it has been for others. I am only 28 and we were told that age is a factor, however I was hoping for some feedback. Let me know!

I'm sorry.  :-(  It always ***** when AF shows up.  Try and stay positive.  Sometimes that makes a huge difference (it at least helps you from feeling like you're going crazy).  Good luck this next cycle!

BTW...my doc said our age is your biggest asset. the younger you start the more options he said we have. only problem is now i am kicking myself for not starting 5 years ago!

woke up this morning and i got my period, so we are on to another month of trying! had a breakdown yesterday...my poor husband walked into me crying in the bathtub (wasn't one of my fondest moments) my doc said i will stay on 50mg of clomid next month because i responded well. the progesterone test on cd21 just shows you if you ovulated. my doc seems much more hopeful than i am so i guess we will wait and see.

BTW~I was wondering what your doctor said about age because my doctor didn't say anything about age being a factor.  (DH and I are 29/30.)

Clomid didn't help us conceive but that's because DH's semen was too thick so the sperm couldn't break through (the doctors didn't know it at the time).  Clomid helps me ovulate (which I don't do on my own).  I have many friends who got pg with just Clomid within the first 2 cycles.  I also have heard of people getting pg with their first IUI.  I just had my first IUI on Thursday (with the help of Clomid and Ovidrel this month) and praying that I'm one of those people who gets pg the first time.  Good luck!

We have already tried 6 cycles of 100mg of clomid and now we are doing the IUI with clomid (100mg), repronex, and HCG. Im on the 21 day of progesterone, but I have not been tested so I have no idea what that means. sorry. Im the same way you are but Im really trying not to get excited cause I dont want to be let down. When do you have to take the pregnancy test?

I also have endometriosis, but I only found out about 2 years ago when I could not get pregnant natrually.

my husband and I are both 30, we just tryed our firs IUI.  I've heard that it usually takes a couple IUI's.

Good luck to you and your husband.

that is the same age as my husband and I! The doctor says that age is a big factor, so we are crossing our fingers. I usually start spotting at day 21, but it is now day 29 and nothing so far. I go in on tuesday for blood work....guess we have to wait and see.

There are many ladies that have had success with clomid. No success with me, yet, but hoping this round. My husband and I are both 27/28.
