iui and preg rate

My husband and i had our first iui a week ago. I was wondering if anyone could give us a insight on our chance of pregnancy. His count was after wash:   12.7 million with 72% motitality.  any ideas? I had read it was only 6% chance but i wanted input. thank you very much

I got BFP on 4th IUI with my ds 3 years ago and BFP on my 3rd IUI 13 weeks ago!  Good Luck.

My dr. always told me that IUIs give you 15-20% chance of pregnancy, which is actually really close to that of healthy couples having when trying to conceive naturally. IVF bumps your chances to 50-60%. Best of luck :)

My RE gave me only a 6% chance. I can't remember what that was based on tho - age? I did 2 IUI's and they both failed. the first one i had 4 follicles and the 2nd one i had 2 BUT I also read that the average amount of times to get it to work is about 4 and sometimes it takes as much as 6 times.  good luck and stay positive!!

Most studies show 20-26% success rates with the highest being between the 3rd and 6th attempt.  Also US studies say three follicles gives you the best chances where European studies says 4.
