Opinions Please

Ok, so my DH just got his SA back. According to the one he had 4 years ago and this one his count has gone down, his morphology has gone up and his motility has improved. How is that? He has clumping issues whick cause the motility issues, and if that is getting worse how is motility getting better? I'm confused and do not want to creat false hope for myself.

So here is what he has

Volume 2
Count 247,000,000
Appearance Gray /Trans
Viscosity Mucoid (meaning clumping)
WBC 0-2 (White Blood Cell Count) Too high causes the clumping issues.
%Motile 64
Non Motile 36
Forward Motile 2
Normal Sperm 77
Neck 4
Tail 6

TODAY
Volume 2
Count 123,500,000
Appearance Grey/Trans
Viscosity Increased (not sure what that means)
WBC 6-10
Motile 80%
Forward Motile 4+
Normal Sperm 56%
Neck 10%
Tail 4%

IUI cost the same as FET so I would go get my Snow Angels before if I had the money. But it does mean if the FET does not work then I can start doing IUI intead. it's all good news. But I don't want to get to oexcited until I talk to teh DR and make sure I'm reading this right. I seem to respond real good to the Follistim, so that is probly what I would ask for if I do meds.

There are many other drugs even better than clomid, (that give a better response) So you could discuss them with you Dr. And how about doing IUI with the meds? its cheaper than ivf, and since your DH has better results now check with your Dr if its possible.
Good luck

No, we were doing IVF but ran out of money. My Dr kept saying IVF is my only chance. But now I'm not so sure. His WBC is up nad that's what causes the clumping but his motility is up also, so I don't know if the clumping is gone or not. He is going to call his DR and get a straight awnser. If they say it is good then I will call me GYN and ask for meds to help, but I can't take clomid. I had a real bad reaction to it 2 years ago.

You should be happy, things look very promising, are you going to take any meds like clomid for example? just to increase your chances and save time?
Prayers to you :)

Really???? OMG, I am soooo excited by this. We have changed the way we live over the past 4 years so much. We have been eating healthier and have been living much healthier and I didn't know if it would help or not but I guess it did!!!! His count is realy good and if they are now swimming in a straight line this means I can start trying here at home again and maybe have some luck. I'm ready to cry I'm so happy.

I agree with bny807, I think the results look good, although the count has decreased a little its still considered very good,
Good luck

Wow those are great results! if i'm reading it right..looks like the clumping issue has gone away, it says it has good viscosity, wheras the last one said it was mucoid and clumped.. so i think it makes since to me that since its a higher vicosity (flowier) that it moves faster! Thats great! : )
