Trying again when my baby is only getting ready to be 3 mnths

So am I crazy to go off birth control with a almost 3 month old. It took us 5 years with one miscarriage in there to get pregnant and have this baby, so we thought it might be a good idea to start trying again, I am 30 yrs old with PCOS.

I never went back on bc after my ds was born and very happy for that. Took me 14 months to get pg again then mc and then finally after another year of trying and meds I did IUI with success. I don't think you are crazy. It took me 4 yrs to get pg with my ds so I didn't want to chance it.

ideal spacing is 18-24 months between kids....but since i am 36 and it took us 7 years and IVF to have the first, we will start ttc as soon as i start cycling again.

I agree with your doctor about the getting pregnant when your body is ready.  My husband and I had a m/c on 12/27/10 and everything I read said to wait before we tried to get pregnant again.  I just figured I didn't want to waste a cycle and that it would happen when my body was ready.  I got pregnant 11 days later and am now 10w1d!  I also had very little time inbetween my first two kids.  My first son was only 5 months old when we started trying and it took us about 4 cycles to get pregnant.  So my first two are 17.5 months apart.  My body was perfectly okay and I took the mini pill for a couple months inbetween them.  I think you are good to go!

I had my baby naturally and the doctor told me I am good to try after the 3rd round of birth control pills, he is an older guy who says he feels the body will not let you get pregnant unless it is ready.

I remember feeling the same way after dd was born. We didn't have as long as a journey as you did to get dd but still, we started trying about a year out from her birth. I was advised to at least wait ONE year - 2 years would be optimal - especially since I had a c-section (needed time for internal wound to heal) and I was a good candidate for a vbac if I waited 2 years between births.

I would advising checking with your OB before proceeding just so you have a very clear picture of the pros and cons of conceiving so early on after giving birth. It has been done before (my mil had 3 babies within 4 years but it did take a toll on her body) and babies are born healthy.

I was 36 when I had dd and I have PCOS. I am now 38 and we are ttc#2 currently.

Best of luck to you!
