Had my fertility consultation results are in!!!

My partner and i had our consultation this afternoon we've now been told my uterus and ovaries are clear and all results have been fine on me i will now be having HSG done within the next 16 weeks to see if my tubes are okay.  My partner was told originally he had slow motility but apparently he doesn't he's the same as me all clear no problems.

we have been told if we do not conceive from now until April and my HSG results come back clear we will then be put onto the IVF waiting list in April 2010 which has a waiting list of 3 years.  I've also been told to lose some weight which i now intend to do as i personally feel this is why i have not conceived as yet.  Now is a case of getting down to bedding every night we can and praying for a BFP before April.  Thanks to everyone who has been a support along this horrible path i just hope we get the outcome we're looking for!!

my doctor actually told us the opposite, he said that a lot of women believe they can only conceive once a month which is true, but once the egg has left the ovary you can still conceive from day of ovulation until the day of AF which i found hard to believe.  He told us not just to try before and during ovulation but also late after ovulation as there may be a chance the sperm can reach the egg before it releases which has gave me a boost.  I'm just going to try my best and lose some weight as i honestly think that is the problem i've got my fingers crossed everything works out for me and everyone else ttc

Congrats on the good report card!!! I would suggest, (as your dr would likely do the same) to only bd every other day until a pos opk is recorded, then each day from there until o has been confirmed (or 2 days past pos opk). You want to allow the sperm time to build up again. If you bd every day, it cuts your chances down.  Good luck to you. I hope to see you post a bfp soon :)
