I do agree actually with the detoxing of the body pre TTC. I've read that but never saw it posted here. Great tips overall from Sunnyday775!
Hi honey. Here's sth to try. Taking a detox can be a really good way to get your body back into balance. Then a well balanced diet will absolutely help your chances of success. Take part in the fertility diet to enhance your reproductive organs. Also to ensure good quality blood supply to the uterus. Good quality blood supply to the uterus increases protein and nutrient secretion around implantation, which your embryos will love!! Get your partner on the sperm diet. Acupuncture is now, without a doubt, one of the best ways to enhance rates. It will reduce your stress, enhance your ovarian function, and increase blood supply to your reproductive organs. Other therapies such as reflexology, hypnotherapy, yoga, or massage can also help. Take a good quality multi-vitamin and mineral supplement. Royal Jelly to nourish your egg quality. Of course make sure you are getting enough folic acid in your everyday diet as research shows this prevents neural tube defects. Hoping for your luck.

We're 25. He worries because with his ex (who had kids already) they didn't use protection for the 3 to 4 years they were together and nothing ever happened. I already track my cycle and he wears boxers. Hes talked about wanted to do one of those home sperm count tests.
Trying to conceive can be frustrating and a journey, for sure. 4 months is not a long time as it takes most couples at least a year to conceive. Who ever thought that it would be work?! ha. But it can start to feel that way. Hang in there.
So, my tips include tracking your cycle. Understanding your cycle gives you the best odds. I took my temperature every morning with a cheap digital thermometer. I kept it by my bed and took it first thing and recorded the temp. What you will notice if you do this is that your temp rises one full degree when you ovulate and stays higher at that temp until your period starts. UNLESS you are pregnant and then it stays high until you have the baby. This lets you know almost precisely when you ovulate as it rises directly after. You then be able to see if you have a pattern you can work with to time trying. The best time to try is timing it this way-- first day of your period is cycle day ONE. Count from there. On cycle day 10, begin having sex every other day (especially if low sperm count is suspected) for the next 10 days. Go a little longer if you have a cycle that is longer than average.
What makes you suspect low sperm count? Get that checked. I think he just has to give a sample (just . . . easy for me to say, lol).
If he does, then he may want to do things like only wear boxers, avoid hot tubs, etc.
And if you try for a year and it doesn't happen and he does indeed have low sperm count, there is always other means such as artificial insemination with 'enough' sperm to do the job.
How old, by the way, are you and he?
